What does it mean to “level up”?

Most role playing games use this mechanic. Characters in the game acquire experience points from defeating enemies in combat or from other activities. When a certain amount of experience is gained, the character “levels up”. Likewise, we believe that people should be leveling up every day. Less through fighting monsters and more through overcoming obstacles. We can all participate in leveling up as we set and achieve goals, gain new skills, and move forward in our personal story.
