Welcome to Developer Level! A site where software developers can find tools and information that will assist them in “leveling up”.
Our first project on Developer Level provides you the opportunity to complete the Trait Spectrum © 2016, a personality type test.
Your Personality
Knowing yourself is an essential component of personal and occupational growth. Once you know your strengths and weaknesses, you are better able to apply yourself toward becoming the best possible you, at work, home, or in the world.
Taking the Test
You will be able to see your results after completing only part of the test. No need to complete all the questions. More questions will be added over time. Even so, the more items you complete, the more solid your results will be.
While taking the Trait Spectrum, letters will appear on your screen. These letters provide a link to information about your traits. Once four of them have appeared (such as ISTJ or ENFP – some combination of those letters), then your type has been established. Continuing beyond this point will improve the odds of accurate results, but is not necessary. Currently, results provide a general description of each type’s traits
Developers
An extra category of testing will be provided at some point soon. It will focus on software developers, coders, and other IT professionals in particular.
This will use a similar test known as the Developer Spectrum. The first tool of its kind, it will provide items customized to programmers and developers. This instrument will help developers find their place in the software world.
Teams
We provide functionality for teams as well. Team members will be able to view the results of others on their team. They can then use those results to help build a better team.

The tools used are based on unpublished documents and research results. An unpublished book is being written on the theory by Paul Robbins, The Trait Spectrum Theory: A New Perspective on Type and Temperament. The test has evolved over a period of time, beginning with the questionnaire known as the True Temperament Touchstone © 2005.
